Privacy policy

The short version: CalcGoose has no accounts to sign into, carries no advertising, and never sees what you type into a calculator. It does count visits, and it collects nothing else about you unless you choose to write to us.

What you type into a calculator

Nothing. Every calculator on this site runs as JavaScript inside your own browser. Your appliance list, your battery specs, your electricity rate — none of it is sent to a server, stored, or logged, because there is no server to send it to. This site is a set of static files.

Getting in touch

The contact page is an email address, not a form. Nothing you send passes through this website at all — it goes from your mail client to ours, and this site never sees it.

Whatever you write to us is used to answer you and for nothing else. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not shared with anyone. Ask us and we will delete the correspondence.

Analytics and cookies

CalcGoose sets no cookies of its own. Visit statistics are collected by Clicky, which records the pages requested, the referring site, and coarse details such as country, browser and screen size. It is used to see which calculators people find useful — nothing more.

Depending on how the account is configured, Clicky may set a first-party cookie so that a returning visitor is not counted twice. It is not an advertising cookie: it is not read by anyone else, it does not follow you to other sites, and no data is sold or shared. There is no advertising network on this site and no remarketing of any kind.

Server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL — to serve pages and to protect against abuse. We do not have access to individual-level records, and this data is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy terms.

Advertising and affiliate links

There are none. CalcGoose carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsored content, so nothing on this site is tracking you towards a purchase. If that ever changes, this page and the terms page will be updated before the links appear.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Unless you have written to us, we hold nothing about you, so there is nothing to request, export or delete. If you have written to us, you can ask for that correspondence to be deleted and we will do it. Either way, the contact page is the way to reach us.

Changes

If this policy changes — most likely because analytics were added — the change will appear here. Material changes will be noted on the page.
