CalcGoose currently carries no advertising, no affiliate links and no sponsored content. Nobody pays for placement, and no product mentioned anywhere on this site earns us anything.

If that changes, this page will be updated before any commercial link goes live, and every such link will be clearly labelled where it appears.

Results are estimates

Every calculator on this site produces a planning estimate based on the assumptions listed on its page. Real installations vary with temperature, altitude, wiring quality, equipment age, local code and a dozen things a web form cannot see. Treat the output as a starting point for a conversation with a professional, not as a specification.

Not professional advice

CalcGoose does not provide engineering, electrical, financial or legal advice. Electrical work should be designed, installed and inspected by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and your local amendments. Generator installation, service panel work and permanent solar systems are all subject to permitting requirements in most jurisdictions.
